===== Version retrieval (automation) =====

For monitoring purposes, it is useful to determine the PMA.control version used through a back-end API call. All of [[https://www.pathomation.com/platform|Pathomation's platform]] components have this option, actually.

In order to determine the installed version of PMA.control, you can issue the call:

''https://server/pma.control/api/version''

The result is a string formatted as ''A.B.C.D'', with A, B, C being numeric. D can be either numeric or alphanumeric.
