====== Preparing your folders ======


Let's say that you want to build a website with 3 collections about various organ systems: bladder, breast, and lung.

You have three folders on your hard disk that reflect this:

Initially, you only have a couple of reference slides per system, so each folder received a couple of [[https://www.pathomation.com/formats|slides from various scanners]]:

After organizing your folders at the file system level, you go to PMA.core and define your root-directories:

You can navigate the folders directly on the hard disk using a local installation of [[https://free.pathomation.com|PMA.start]], or remotely via PMA.core.

Either way, the view on the slides should be the same. If not, you should be back to PMA.core and modify your root-directory settings.

Before you go configure PMA.slidebox, make sure you have [[service_account|a service account defined in PMA.core that can access the slides]].
