Review Student Annotations as a Supervisor

PathoTrainer provides a flexible annotation system that supports the full lifecycle of working with digital slides.

User/Trainee

Test Active Interaction Mode is designed for trainees who need to actively practice. In this mode, users can load cases with existing annotations, create new annotations, and interact with the image as if they were performing a real diagnostic task. This mode focuses on learning by doing: trainees explore the case, mark relevant features, and build practical skills.

Supervisor

Review Interaction Mode is intended for supervisors and trainers. Here, the platform loads the annotations created previously by trainees, allowing supervisors to inspect them in detail. As a supervisor, you can toggle each trainee’s annotations on or off, or choose to show all or none at once, making it easy to compare contributions and focus on specific students during your review. Supervisors can compare the student’s annotations to assess accuracy, provide feedback, and monitor progress.

Video Walkthrough

In this video, we highlight the different possibilities offered by PathoTrainer’s interaction modes, showing how trainees use Test Active mode to create annotations, while trainers use Review mode to evaluate them.
