Welcome to PMA.studio, an integrated web-based environment for whole slide image (WSI) data, digital pathology, and virtual microscopy alike, developed by Pathomation.

PMA.studio is part of the Pathomation software platform for digital pathology. Pathomation’s software platform consists of different components. Whatever your scenario for digital pathology entails, chances are that you’re going to interact with digital slides at some point. PMA.studio is an excellent tool for end-users to explore slide collections as it runs on top of PMA.core, - the platform's bedrock.

PMA-Studio is a web-based software, it runs in the cloud. There are many benefits associated to a web-based service, being the most prominent one the ability to use the software in any machine, all that is needed is a web-browser and a login account. It also means that the local machine (PC/MAC) may save processing power, as well as hard-disk space, for the images are partially processed and stored in the cloud. In the long run a cloud based services also translates in cost savings and improved security.

In PMA.studio the user is not locked into a fixed user interface, customization is a key characteristic of PMA-Studio, and a philosophy underpinning product development.

Guided by user experience and feedback, PMA.studio provides standard features which are considered essential and that should not be changed, but apart from those, the user interface can be extensively customized.
