What's new in version 1.2.2?
PMA.core 1.2.2 is revision 915 of the PMA.core codebase. It follows PMA.core 1.2.1 (revision 906).
The software followed relatively quickly after 1.2.1, due to the fact that preparations for version 2.0.0 were already underway at this point.
PMA.core version 1.2.2 then contains a number of urgent fixes that could not wait for version 2.0.0 before being introduced.
In PMA.core 1.2.2, we removed any remaining remnants of the OpenSlide library. Most importantly, we now use our own MRXS parser. We decided to not switch from OpenSlide to the vendor's own SlideAC SDK, due to the fact that the SDK is limited to accessing slides over file-based streams, something that would limit us severely as we move toward supporting cloud storage protocols in upcoming releases of PMA.core.
